When visiting El Salvador, you are expected to show dignity, courtesy, warmth, and friendship. To get your friends attention, is to make a hissing noise. If you do the hissing nosie to a stranger though, it is considered disrespcectful.

The language that is spoken in el salvador, is spanish otherwise known as castellano. Enlgish is also spoken.

 In El salvador certain hand gestures have certain meanings that are commonly understood.

FOr addressing older people, you use the word don for men and dona for women. Also close friends and relatives are adressed by their first name.
